    AWWWW!

I had an A500 and A2000, had tons of games from 1986 ++
never got into the a600 etc... Though I ran a Bulletin board "Enigma*Amiga" for a few years. Both My Amigas died, (overheated or some shit).. so when i moved Itook my BBS-PC with me, leaving my dead amigas abandoned and thus started using windows... Linux wasnt even around

Amiga-OS was the shit with multitasking and 4096 colors, 11Khz sound; way a head of Apple and IBM! Commodore was such an ass-hat of a company though or else they shoulda won; but instead churned out crap like the C-16 and the C-plus-4! WTF?!

      What he said ^^^^^
I had a 500+ and then a 4000/30 which is still sitting in my garage somewhere. I remember getting my first 80MB hard drive and wondering how on earth I was ever going to fill it hehehe. Games like Xenon and Rtype where always fun on the old "Miggy" but then I moved on to coding and video production and along came the PC... the rest is history. Aaahhh nostalgia
I seem to recall that there was an Amiga Quake clan with guys like [Amiga]Seven and [Amiga]Reaf, the later still plays on Bigfoot's server.

@ROOk Poor Amiga... I have used (still use) my amiga not only to play games but most to make music (hip hop, dNb, Jungle..) with protracker or 2d Graphic with Deluxe Paint or Personal Paint... and more. BTW: Amiga 1200 is much better with 16 million color palette and other futures :p

@Mr.Burns Yep a4k was very good for Video editing, 3d modelling and many other things wich need a strong CPU... I always wanted to buy a4000 because she (yes an amiga is a woman) had much more power/futures like a extra slots for gfx card and sound card, extra ram and HDD was already included. Moste modells had standard a 040 cpu inside... but i never had so much money to buy it

... but amiga is not dead yet! You can still buy the newest Amiga X1000 Monster wich cost €2,705.94 !!!

Oh that's cool! Unfortunately I'm not sure what the Amiga can do now-a-days
that windows or linux or mac cant. Sure the OS has gone through a myriad of updates over the last 25+ years, but it's tied to the Motorola chip, which very few computers still use. I wouldnt mind getting one though -if I had extra ca$h to burn.
