Cool video! The thing that struck me was how everyone reacted to the strobe light effect on the imp at the end of level 1. I don't even think about it when I'm playing it now, but it's super effective for a new player! To think, the imp is one of the weaker enemies you'll come across too.

DOOM...

I have to say I'm glad to see it back in action. Although it's a new age with new mechanics and graphics it still looks like it's holding up to it's roots. There will be so much hate in the reviews I'm sure especially from people that expect a perfect game in every way. From the looks of it the brutality of it seems to somewhat take inspiration from "Project Brutality". A mod that made the original DOOM as bloody and vulgar as humanly possible. No matter how the launch goes for this game or what reviews come pouring in I'm going to own this one. I have all the originals along with all the Quake's. These two games is what started me in it all and I have spent so much more time Modding them as well so there no telling how many hours I've invested. It would be great though if they would be crazy enough to kick Quake off again from it's original roots. DOOM and QUAKE we're both focused on the darker demonic creatures and atmosphere. The Marines Vs The Strogg change was OK but it never felt like Quake.

Good old DOOM, I still play the HELL out of it. I have it on my Pc and Cellphone. Its not great on the mobile though running the project brutality mod, causes some slight pauses in game play with all the added on screen damage effects.

If it is Doom for you, then we at Quake have bad luck because we lost a good modder
