Diablo I

I have to say, I love this game. It is really a great game, and the horror

themes are extremely well portrayed and fleshed out - not to mention the

music in the game is superb.


With some heavy difficulty/revamp mods such as "The Hell" (Horrible name i

know) It's great fun in coop. I much prefer this over Diablo 2 - Diablo 2 i felt

skimped too much on the horror aspect and was just more of an "Action" RPG

- It was still really good too though - but a lot of the atmosphere that made

the first one good was gone. When I was a kid playing it i was scared of the

I can't speak for anyone else but I think D3 will be disappointing, as every

new thing they reveal looks more and more like a WoW/God of War Hybrid. I

really don't see why they laid off Blizzard North.

Blizzard has (in my opinion) been disappointing since WarCraft 3. 3 sucked in comparison to 2, StarCraft 2 was "ok" and World of Warcraft? Don't get me started on that pile of ....
Diablo 3 will sadly follow suit.

When WC3 came out,I was wetting my self to play it just because WC2:BNE was superb!!

I enjoyed it thoroughly but, I was ready for new content and WC3 was good stuff,kept to the tried and true.

Then WoW showed up,and I became a pissed off fanboy (WTF did you do to my franchise Warrrrcraft,noooooooooooooooo)


Diablo 3 will never be released, talking about that game just irritates me. D1 rocked, D2 was nice, but repititious is the word I would use.

D2 pissed me off soo bad.... i was in the third zone or whatever they were called and my bags were full. I dropped a quest item on the ground to rearrange stuff and as I went to pick it up my computer froze. I went back to the game and the item was gone. The only way to get the item was to kill some monster, which, once killed, did not spawn again. I couldn't continue lol.

Ya it wasn't the game but it pissed me off so much I never played it again haha.

Totally agree! I suggest the hell mod, excellent mod (only for veterans/highly skilled players). I love all Blizzard games except for WOW, If i have to give ratings:

Diablo 1: 9/10 (only because is too short )
Diablo 2: 8,5/10
Starcraft: 11/10 (I've played it 10000 times and 100000 custom campaigns )
Starcraft II: 9/10 (well, now Blizzard give us Heart of Swarm!)
Warcraft I: 7/10 (controls sucks a lot, not very user friendly)
Warcraft II: 10/10
Warcraft III: 8,5/10
World of Warcraft: No comment

RIP blizzard north - they were the good part of blizzard. Diablo 1 and 2 were both something different when they were made - Starcraft was, sure, but what has blizzard done since then?

Cash in on sequels. SCII was good, but it was NOT worth 60$ - and it had no lan The editor is worth it though.

Warcraft was crap when they got to 3, and WoW is shit - although I guess they do what is working for them - since WoW is so played, I have no idea why though - I gave it a chance once and it sucked ass, there are better MMOs out there.

I would kill to see an EXACT remake of diablo 1, same voices, same gameplay, same music and atmosphere, but highly detailed graphics (actually, they aren't that important) and much more to do. Anyone wanna make a Quake mod

I loved me some Diablo... Really felt like you were descending into Hell, the atmosphere and imagery were like no other. Diablo II is better gameplay wise, but the main atmosphere, the best part in my opinion, was diminished. Enjoying listening to the old Diablo music.

I probably played Diablo II a bit more than Diablo, the farthest I got was like... Baal I think. My first character was a necromancer, I could never get past Duriel on it. Hit me like a truck everytime (almost to 0 health). My minions, even my flesh golem, got 1-2 shot. I probably didn't employ the greatest strategy

Definitely not a fan of the direction Blizzard is going right now with D3... But who knows, could be decent. I wasted a good two years of my life playing World of Warcraft... I will admit, I had some fun times, but I'm very glad I moved on to better things

For those who like Starcraft 1, here there is a remake of the original SC1 terran campaign here: SC1 Episode 1 - Rebel Yell - StarCraft 2 Maps - SC2Mapster.com this is very well done and challenging. For those who miss this classic and remember what Blizzard used to be before Wow

Warcraft 3 is good! World of Warcraft is alright I guess, stupid to pay every month. Starcraft 2 is alright. And the upcoming Diablo looks pretty good, I don't see your problem with it.

/\ my main problem with D3 now is they took out stat distribution, and replaced it with WoW's system where it auto does it. I don't see how they could do something that drastic when that's one of the staples of the series, and the different builds make things fun to experiment. That will be gone with D3, because apparently it was too "complex", despite D2 still being one of the most played rpg games ever online aside from MMOs.

My other problem was that they seem to have lost the horror element almost entirely now. It's more now like lets stick gore and wierd creatures in and that makes it horror.
