    nice i remember this game.

    ^_^

Next to Crash n' Burn and twisted metal, this game was the shit.

All three of them are great for death and racing. ^^

Carmageddon was really great with a "Mad Max" ethos/police state feel. Carmageddon II didn't have that feel, but had hardware acceleration and was a pretty good game with some great maps (airport, aircraft carrier, desert, alien spaceship, gas pumps you could run over, a wooded town level, 13 police cars level). Carmageddon TDR2000 didn't stick with the basics and it --- well --- it sucked.

I hope they stick with the basics.

I signed up with the forums there, I've been a diehard Carmageddon fan just as much as a Quake fan though I play Quake more.

But like Baker said, TDR2000 was different and didn't quite fit in with the previous games. I also hope they bring back the essence of Carmageddon!

Not sure if i ever played the second one but know i didn't play the TDR one.

But from reading that, it sounds like the original game makers building it, so... it should be good since it said in that article that they will bring the original game back.

Just have to wait an see i guess.

I just remember the original one with the splatter pack lol.

Loving this news. I did enjoy all of them (including TDR2000). I am just awaiting the outburst from Fox News any minute now lol

Oh sweet Jesus yes! Carmageddon 2 was my go-to game for releasing stress and hostility in my Highschool years. Probably saved me from going on a real-life rampage of my own on more than one occasion.

So did Carma 1. Even back then they released a 3dfx patch and it's also possible to run Carma1 on a modern PC with hardware acceleration.
