  • duke3d sound effects...anyone got 'em?

ok guys, although my main machine is down I'm still modding away for more basic engines that this little online lappy can cope with, namely some zdoom stuff at the minute! you just can't keep an obsessive modder down eh?
anyway I'm desperately searching for the weapon sound effects for duke3d as I'd like them for a mod I'm working on, I have not asked over at zdoom or duke4 etc... as the I find the communities much less approachable than quake0ne, anyway I digress; the point is, does anyone have 'em or know where/how to extract or download 'em? Id be most gratefull for any help/info on this issue and then, of course, they'll then be a new release from me,...promise

    Piece of cake !

    1. Grab your last bubblegum in your pocket
    2. Put it in your mouth
    3. Jump over to this site
    4. Download the "Group File Studio" file (300 KB)
    5. Dont get outta gum

    Have fun my friend.

Yeah, the whole stuff is inside the .grp file. Modded Duke a lot back in the days, especially new levels.

            osjclatchford,

a simple search with google will bring hundreds of voc to wav converters on the table

            Type: "voc to wav converter"

            So go and "get some..."

Goldwave and Audacity read that audio format with no issues.

many thanks guys, audacity worked a treat, FYI, here's what I've been working on, guess what sound I was looking for eh?
Obvously the above pic is a wip but feel free to use any part of it it, I'll have the actual 'release' done soon! (To explain; I was fed up with 'dual' duke glocks with the left one's ejection port on the wrong side, eg. Duke plus', then Imagination got the better of me anyway more on this and others later )
