Gta iv for pc

Does anyone here play GTA IV For PC? I bought the game off of steam (i play this on Xbox360 alot) so i thought i would try it on the PC. I am running into a problem, 1 after another. After doing the 1.0.0.7 update i was able to play the game, but the problem is even before and after the update, i have TRANSPARENT maps, where i can see street light polls, and people walking around, but i can not see the buildings, roads and so on. I've done alot of research in the past 2 month's trying to fix this issue, I found some site's with persons having the same problems and i followed what they did and it never fixed my issue. Now i am having a problem getting the game to even run. I might need to reinstall it. Also, im trying to run a mod called Police Pursuit Mod. If anyone has any experience of any knowledge of GTA IV and could possibly help me out, i would appreciate it. also my system can only handle the lowest setting of graphics, I even tried to add this in the GTA folder under a file named commandline.txt

good luck. i got gta iv a week ago. found out the hard way you should do some poking around before you buy a game. i do have a problem similar to yours, except the difference is that interiors don't load for me if im on a mission involving an interior. i have a quad core, and i cant even run it past below decent resolutions without lag. i wouldn't even bother with mods unless you went into the future and came back with a super computer.

LOL, that pretty funny you said that. I actually try this on all 4 of my computers. 1 desktop and 3 laptops.. Cannot get it to work properly. What a fokin tease this game is. I enjoy playing it on Xbox, but Xbox only allows so much to be done, ive watched youtube demo's on PC version, wow i was amazed at what can be done in game. Oh well i'll get a new rig eventually and it'll be crankin for any game out there.

haha. I wasted 14gigs of download on that title Don't feel too bad, and if this game is indeed in your future for PC, build your computer components around it.

It's another 'Rage for PC' moment in PC Gaming history. When it came out tons of people claimed even if it was running,it was barely playable with shitty fps. I might reDL and see if drivers brought into playable mode for me HEH.

Games that I just couldnt ever get running ; Rage , GTA IV.

I enjoyed the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit out of Saints Row the Third, so did MindzJR.

Yes, i have Saints Row all 3 versions on Xbox.
