meh, any fan of the genre will gladly take it. SEGA tossed Xenophages in our faces again, so thanks atleeast for that.

I got the game. The single player is pretty bad but it does have some good moments, and if you like multiplayer it's definitely the best MP Aliens game since AvP 2. Fairly well balanced, the netcode is definitely better and more consistent then AvP 2010, but there are still issues.

Basically - if you want a single player that's representative of the Aliens movie, don't get the game - however if you want a tense multiplayer experience that is well balanced and actually quite scary, I would get it. It's probably one of the best multiplayer Aliens games in a long time, and the gamemodes fit the feeling of the movie quite well. It's especially great if you got friends to play with.

I have a feeling this is because Gearbox outsourced the SP campaign to a different studio, while they pretty much made the multiplayer themselves.

Most reviews don't seem to even factor in the multiplayer though, which is probably part of the reason it gets such low scores. But basically only consider this game if you like MP games.
