QI4A: Darkplaces on Android (free)

Has anybody tried this with other controllers and have gotten it to work? I have an Ouya and I can load/run the game fine but I can't assign any buttons on the Ouya to anything in the options. I'm wondering if I can get my PS3 or 360 controller to work better with this.

Please, do me the favor of making a YouTube video demonstrating / showcasing this. Not that I plan on buying a Ouya, as Im a PC quaker, I just am really interested in whats going on with this.

I'm working on it. I made the video I just can't upload such a large file right now so I have to find a good way to compress it.

Here you go. I used a PS3 controller (stock Ouya controller won't work) and the controls aren't quite right. The right analog stick is aiming and left analog stick is movement. But up makes me go back and down makes me go forward, so I suck at playing it for now. Also, for some reason the audio lags. It's an effect of the video compression I used I guess.

It kind of sucks but it's still a good showcase of the Ouya running QI4A. It just needs better controller support.

Just tested it out on my MK808B device connected to TV.

It runs very well and smooth !
My gamepad works but when I press back I go forward.(anolog stick)
I could not change this in options.

Will there be full mouse support in the future ?
Now the mouse only works when u hold down the mouse1 key , would be great if there was a free look support.

Other then that its a very nice port , I could even connect to any server online with it!

All i need now is good mouse support without holding mouse button to look around. ;-)

Yeah I was wondering if anybody else experienced it. I'm not sure it was related to my video compression or my Ouya.

I've actually been in contact with n0n3m4 and have worked with him, as such, to get better controller support for his apps. It works now with my Ouya's stock controller or a PS3 controller and most likely even the 360 controller (but my current Ouya setup doesn't allow me to have both my USB drive where I installed all my games and a 360 wireless dongle hooked up at the same time). Here's a link to his latest build with full controller support. No need for a keyboard in order to play a single player game.

Here I am running quake1 on the MK808B Android device( dualcore cpu Rockchip RK3066 Cortex A9 1.6GHz, 1giga RAM DDR3 and mali 400 gpu connected to TV.
