I had a experiment for quake on hex editing for version 29 to 28
and then this happend :

Map Notice + Multiplayer Testing

i just heard thats some maps may not work though you might try pming me on a map that dont work and im making a compatablity maps list to work on Press Release Quake Perhaps

And if someone was able to create a OpenVPN server and then i can advertise it for Press Release Multiplay using NE2000 Dosbox Emulation and some friend of mine finaly got me the point about NE2000 and stuff including OpenVPN and its TAP Adapter and stuff i might try Hamchi 1.0.3.0 NE2000 but i might need a volunteer to help with me if you wanna do PM me as soon as possiable if the first pm is sent then i might get a volunteer and second or later pm will not be able to. this is just a notice

you can run multiplayer server manualy by
quake.exe -listen 16
on console:
deathmatch 1
or
coop 1
map <mapname>

and to join is
connect <hostname or ip address>

its better than IPX's Emulation because its smoother with NE2000 emulation

Here is a way for multiplayer

And download a SVN Verison of Dosbox here :

And install Winpcap here : www.winpcap.org/install/
and Hamachi 1.0.3.0 is recommended : Download Hamachi 1.0.3.0 - Change Log - FileHippo.com
be sure to do this on dosbox.conf
for example : realnic=rpcap://\Device\NPF_{55186DFA-0478-42E5-8D44-54B7E6307C9F}

But make sure your Dosbox IPX is disable for this to work properly

Dont forget each start lsl, ne2000 and ipxodi to run before playing
