  • Gateway Timeout

Over the last 2 days I get gateway timeouts about 25% of the time. Yesterday I didn't think much of it and actually assumed it was my crappy internet service, but today, as soon as I got the timeout, I opened another site that is far more meaty than QuakeOne and it loaded right up. So, it definitely isn't my shitty internet (at least today).

I don't really expect anything, I just wanted to throw it out there. Maybe others are having this problem... maybe I have some kind of exact timing for the only available second where a connection will be a struggle...who knows.

It seems to be working fine right now.

Did you try trace route?Don't you access the web through a wireless type connection? Could be random interference, from the whole FCC's part 15 device must accept interference rule.
Start a simple log about when it happens, thats a starting point.

      You're using a gateway?...

use https. exclusively. your http connections are getting redirected...

traceroutes won't help with gateways. the server your traceroutes go to are not the same server that your http requests are going to.
