it results in about 2-3 hours of my time invested only to find out they quit the next day, AGAIN.

huh i don't recall quitting or you investing any time into my "getting back" into quake. i've always retained my original quake disc and will pop in on games from time to time. sure i'm not playing every day, but as life goes priorities change i guess.

I understood some of those words. I'm not quite sure what you're getting at but if not playing quake every day is me quitting then I 'quit' several times a week. I pop in on DM games when I have the time to play some matches, I don't really bother playing unless I have time to sit and play for a couple hours or matches. I lurk the forums and check on games quite often, but apparently not often enough to be considered an active part in the oh so awesome and ever so active quake one community.

I'm not harping on your activity as a player in any shape or form. I'm enjoying your enthusiasm for sarcasm though, not much has changed hahaha. I don't mind not being understood, its a gift sometimes.
