Ok, I have a major problem with my quake. Everytime I try to use quake it goes into resolution 640x 400 but I want 640x480.
This might not seem like a big deal but to me I would rather not play. Anyways I hope someone can help me out. Hopefully I will have all my stuff sorted out soon.

well the most obvious mistake u could have made is mixed up the width and height command line parameters... edit ur shortcut properties so quake will start somthing like quake.exe -width 640 -height 480 and depending on ur client some extra features.. here is my commandline for using qrack:
    glQrack.exe -heapsize 65536 -width 640 -height 480 -bpp 32 -conwidth 640 -conheight 480 -noipx -nocdaudio -iplog 9999 -refreshrate 85 -zone 2048

hope this will fix ur problem.. otherwise u might need to look at ur video driver settings..

If you are useing a Win client you have to press D when you have highlited your resolution option to make it the default.
      e|------------------------0---------------
      B|---------------0^1----------------1----
      G|---------------2------2------0^2-------
      D|---------------2-------2--2-------------
      A|---------------0------------------------
      E|----------------------------------------

Nah that's only with software engines. GLQuake IIRC does default to 640x400. So yeah the -width and -height command line parms are what he wants...

On a similar note, a lot of GL engines (basically all of them I've tried except DarkPlaces) won't let me change resolution, saying 'unsupported video mode' no matter what I try (even 800x600)
