It was news on PlanetQuake and Func_Msgboard, I imagine anyone who is into mapping already knows, but we can line item it in the news when we do a recap or what not.
/me wonders how many mappers would view that as "their favorite", it's kind of crusty for a map editor, heh, but hey some ppl use Worldcraft which I believe is about as old.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
i've only recently started to fool around with mapping again after a first try years ago so im basically still a mapping noob, but ive been using QuArK and the latest version at that.. its still being develloped and i feel it's come a long way and is probably way more advanced at this point then BSP is.. Kinda makes me wonder whats the point in reviving an old editor if there is already a much better tool out there
To which basically anyone in #terrafusion would turn and look at you now, and say "*coughgtkradiantcough*".
People use editors they feel comfortable moving around in, but when it comes to professional, clean, etc etc apparently the consensus is GTKRadiant, and a lot of REALLY good mappers recommend it.
well i wasnt so much trying to put quark in the spotlight here.. just wondered why bother with reviving 8 year old tools while in the mean time others have been greatly improved over the years.. but i guess some just prefer a particular one and rather go thru all the trouble of getting it back up to date..
