May have been at one time... but it's not there atm. In fact, only 2 of the 10 mod section links go to "living" sites. 2 links go to archived sites, while the last 6 sites are dead. Methinks some house cleaning is in order.

(edit: I just tried the "Alternative Engines" section... same thing there. Half the links are dead. Hate to rock the boat this soon after my arrival... but wth? A bit of pride never hurt anyone ya know!)

I'll work on that today, I've played practically all the multiplayer mods out there, mastered none (jk).

I'm good/decent at all the mods ,have a firm grip on each one's ins and outs. Time to write some guide's?

I suck man. lol. I gotta lose a lot to get better. I also have been thinking I wanna check out quake world too. Cause I wanna get good at that speed map. I like that stuff.

I haven't played in, oh... 14 years? Thought I'd try it again and connected to "Texas CRMOD - dm.quaketx.com".

List said there should be 8 people playing, but when I connected there were only 2 people chatting and the other 6 seemed idle? Nobody at all was playing. Everyone's score was at -99, couldn't play, no menus, nothing. What gives? Clan games only or something?

nQuake will get you up and running with QW in about 5 minutes. As for the maps.. I am not sure what you mean by that. Here is a collection over at bigfoot and r00k has quite a few here. Another spot here at quaddict.

EDIT: I guess I should also mention that Darkplaces will connect to QW or NetQuake Servers. Nquake actually uses ezquake as the client.

Don't really play anymore, but still like coming here every once in a while. Miss all the full servers in the late 90's. That was 15-18 years ago...WOW. Used to play at college and now I'm all "grown up" with kids. Crazy.

REALLY?! My 4 year old is all over Doom and Quake! Just after he was 2 he would watch me play in my lap..lol. Eventually had to build him his own Linux PC next to mine in the computer room. We play Wii, F2P Steam games and Chex Quest with mods via Zandronum mostly. Except we call CQ Boogies because there green and lets face it Flemoids looks like boogers.

My wife on the other hand doesn't like to game at ALL.
