Jackhammer's new server (bigfoot.quake1.net) is up and running, and it is simply incredible.
http://www.quakeone.com/euroquake

This server not only has a large cache of 100% winners for custom maps (137 grand total), but is basically the combination of the capabilities of several servers combined.
Runs in numerous modes:
Rune Quake, classic deathmatch, CRMOD vanilla Quake match mode, Rocket Arena mode, vote-team, vote-ring, vote-quad, etc. etc. etc. etc.
Basically this server can do any mode of play except Clan Arena and CTF (maybe Slot will eventually add those capabilities, heh).
More or less this server is in many ways a combination of the map selection and play modes of about 8 different servers rolled into 1, taking all the power and versatility Slot Zero has put into the different game modes and capabilities and putting it all on 1 server.
There also will be a couple of small extra touches to finesse the map selection tomorrow, more than likely.
Congratulations to Jackhammer for setting up such an outstanding server, his selection of maps he added to the mix are incredible.
Anyway, be sure to download the maps and check out the server.
And visit the website to see how to vote the various modes (it's easy, stuff like vote-arena, vote-match, vote-practice). Vote-arena will immediately take you to the Rocket Arena Gateway selector map with nice in-game screenshots.

And this server has some Rocket Arena maps you've never played before!
Also, I have to add ... Rune Quake 1.2 is really slick! Has pq_smoothcam support for ProQuake and Qrack which support that and some other great touches.
How the heck did the Europeans end up with a better server than us??? We don't even have one of these. Heh

3. Includes 60 Rocket Arena maps including the Rocket Arena Gateway selector map, Rook's collection of Quake Expo Maps, Aquashark's Rocket Arena maps (they truly rule!)
