Best Buy here is selling Q1,2, and 3 for 10 or 20$ (which Quake is worth anyways), as it is over in Arizona according to Bank (iirc) as well. So if you want a hardcopy of Quake, Best Buy may be the place to go right now.
i'd say they want yo to go underground.. as you do for all your other games..
*sigh*
If that isn't their goal, they sure have a funny way of making an effort to sell Quake.
Why don't they sell Ultimate Quake (1,2,3) for $20 in the online ID Store, instead of charging $20 for Quake without II and III.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
It's pretty obvious that id takes some amount of pride in their current and previous work, unlike Activision who will fall for any sales gimmick they can think of. You can count that id will not lower their prices on older games and classics below 15 dollars, as they see them just as well now as they did back in the day.

I saw ultimate doom for teh 10$ at wal-mart. Got that. I also saw teh Q3 for 10$. Grabbed that. I have q 1-4 (1, 2 pirated but thats ok, 4 is pirated but q1 dm forever)
What's even funnier.. When I worked for Bally's and they bought up Atari. cough.. It cost 3 cents to make the games and they were charging 40-50. Production was cheap and fast. Of course that was the the days of Pong. Ooops.. think I just dated myself.

if anyone wants return to castle wolfenstien (the original, not platinum) ids store is selling it for $10
I'd go to Best Buy, but the plane tickets are a bit expensive. Apart from that, I wouldn't want to visit that country at the moment. It's bad enough that Bush must visit us. "Welcome, Mr. president, nice to see you. Thanks for being our guest (TM)! Hope you enjoyed your stay in Germany! Bye!!!"
Back on topic, I think before they sell Quake again here, that Satan guy would need a parka. As you Americans say.
So, like I said elsewhere, there is a good old tradition here that you get those games from other sources. Friends, mostly. Who got them from friends, who got them from friends, who got them from...
I don't have them, by the way, because they're like, totally illegal and abominable creations of child-molesters. At minimum.

Enough with the tehs Foqer, after about ten times it gets old. There's a time for teh, and a time for the, wait for teh right time.

...Im no fan of Bush by any means but... if youre just visiting the country, wtf does it matter? Its not like youre staying.
It matters because before I can visit, they want my fingerprints, and I don't enjoy that kind of treatment. For example. I'm not anti-America, though (it's sad that you always have to make that statement.)
