When do you usually play this and is there a serve for it??

Yeah, I think there is a server for it. While in DarkPlaces, go to multiplayer, and hit search for darkplaces servers. Make sure that your firewall isn't blocking DP first, though. A list should pop up and have a server that runs the DPMOD.

Drop by #darkplaces on anynet in irc and poke us for a game, if we have time we will play. Sajt, Lardarse, LordHavoc and myself are there, as are many others.

Run Darkplaces, under Multiplayer and Join Game you can search for DarkPlaces Games, LordHavoc has a few different servers up, dpmod coop and dpmod dm I think. Dunno if he has deathmatch mode 7 server up currently.

*drunk so dont't pay attention* what u need is an "up to date pc with a kick ass gfx card that can handle realtime lightning" wich is the only reason i'd run DP in stead of Qrack...

aside from it running faster than Qrack, looking better even in lightmapped mode, and supporting QW servers?

and i get playable framerates if i use rtlights files by KGB|romi on my gf4ti4200 64meg card, you dont need an insane videocard to run the game, you need a decent one.

If a 4400 TI 64meg is concidered decent, then my nvidia geforce fx 5200 ultra 128mb should do the trick. And to does. Only on shmack with teh INSANE firefights do I ever get any less than 30 fps... and it handles all the effects perfectly. No missing flame, explosions, etc... its like glpro on crack...
