The irony being that the goatse page was created by #quake (on undernet) I believe, because even though the channel topic plainly stated that they did not do warez, particularly of Quake and not to ask, people kept coming in asking for Quake, and wouldnt listen to reason, so they passed the goatse url to them as their warez link. They stopped coming.

No no no, Asaki did make the image you are using, which is a Quake version of an image that was created by another (flexible) person and was utilized by the Quake community to ward off warez types.

Its just humorous how things flow around and into themselves like that.

its usually in your best interests to never follow links that may sound conspicuous or just odd... if you arent sure, look it up on wikipedia first, they often have descriptions that give you enough info to know if you want to look further - without receiving the full brunt

there are worse things out there than goatse in my opinion however
