I'm creating some quake config creators that generate simple and advanced quake configs for Windows/Unix users. Right now I made a simple zoom.cfg generator. Check it out! <-- updated AGAIN!

I will be creating other config generators overtime. If you have any requests, please post them here.

That's already on my todo list. During the runtime of the program, you will be asked HOW MANY insults you want then you'll be asked for each insult you want generated

edit: link updated to working version

thanks to Phenom for beta testing and Sneep for the tech support

One of the chat macros had better be "Take that Germany!" or "Yes Bank IS better than you and I combined!" and of course "Seacrest Out!"

Apparantly my program obliderated Phenom's autoexec.cfg from his computer. I don't see how this is even possible.

(10:49:30 PM) Coach: hmm.. well my autoexec.cfg file was in my ID1 folder last time i checked about 5 mins ago, then i ran the zoom proggie and it was cool but i reverted back(tryed to) to my old config
(10:49:36 PM) Coach: and it defaulted to the DEFAULT
(10:49:43 PM) Coach: and my autoexec.cfg is gone

(10:50:41 PM) Danno: autoexec isn't autogenerated by quake engines either
(10:50:45 PM) Danno: makes no sense

As it is, your program is violating the GPL. Cygwin's gcc links to their cygwin DLL which is GPLed (unusual because it forces applications to use the GPL). Your license is not GPL compatible. By the way, only cygwin does this. Every other gcc I've ever heard of does not force your program into a certain license.

Redhat uses this so that companies have to pay $$$$ in order to get cygwin's proprietary code license. I think it's pretty sinister because no one expects an open source compiler to require *you* to open source your programs. I also think it backfires because I know several large companies that use cygwin but won't let employees use cygwin's gcc because of this issue. They don't want to take the chance even with a proprietary license because there are cases where it could sneak up.

Use -mno-cygwin when you build it in cygwin. You won't need to distribute the cygwin DLL because it doesn't link against it. Building on win32 is always a pain. I have cygwin, Ming32, and bloodshed installed for C/C++ development. Mingw32 doesn't have this DLL problem but it also does not have cygwin's Unix API mapping.

Thanks to Sole, Dyne and Phenom for beta testing, RocketGuy and my old C/C++ instructor for helping me fix bugs and everyone else who was involved.

Actually I just realised that no one really knows what the trash talker does. It's something I came up with (i think ) 3 years ago to have all these "say blah" commands binded into 1 key. It's a rotation. Here's what I would say if I kept hitting the "p" key:

                      Where's your motivation?
                      Don't get so cocky
Now we can fight as warriors
You are not worthy as my opponent...
You can't defeat me with those weapons!
Don't you want to settle this?
It's the oldest trick in the book...
Well at least you've got spirit
                      Hmmph... What's wrong?
                      Prepare to die
                      Where's your motivation?
                      Don't get so cocky
Now we can fight as warriors
You are not worthy as my opponent...
You can't defeat me with those weapons!
Don't you want to settle this?

                      etc

It's pretty cool and I already know Phenom is using it. Ask him how he feels about it. No it doesn't delete Phenom's autoexec.cfg

How the program works is it will ask for how many "phrases" you want to have and which key to bind it too. Then depending on how many phrases you want, you'll enter a string for each one.

I'm going to enable file input soon so people don't have to type all the phrases in from a cmd/terminal

I lost motivation to make these config creators due to the lack of people interested. I guess I don't see the point in doing it. I WILL update the zoom config creator so you have the choice of either binding the zoom or mousewheeling it.

As for other configs creators, unless people make requests, they aren't happening.

btw I fixed the link to the zoom.

Maybe get people intrested in it by adding features

I was actually thinkin about your program earlier and wished that you could bind more then 1 button like for instance,

                          z binded to "good" sayings
                          x binded to "bad" sayings
                          c binded to "ugly" sayings

so if i wanted to compliment someone on their skills or getting a frag I press Z, if I wanted to tell them I didn't apprciate them fragging me I press X and if I just want to be an asshole I press C and they would all say a whole array of things
