  • Best of John Romero?

What would you guys consider to be Romero's finest maps from both Doom 1/2 and Quake?

    For me, it would be:

    Doom: E1M1: Hangar (obviously)
    Ultimate Doom: E4M2: Perfect Hatred
Doom 2: MAP29: The Living End (Doom 2 has his weakest levels imo)
Quake: E1M1: The Slipgate Complex (on the other hand all his Quake levels are great)

uhm... which levels of doom1/2 and quake did romero design?

E1M4 and E4M4 are my faves of quake, but those both arent made by romero

    .

    EDIT:
ah nvm, found a list on quakewiki which maps romero made.
without a doubt my fave quake-map by romero is E2M4: the Ebon Fortress

    EDIT2:
for doom - E4M6: Against Thee Wickedly
    doom2 -map11:'O' of Destruction! & map29:The Living End

Dismal Oubliette in Quake. The entire Episode 1 for DOOM. Excellent use of windows and techbase textures. The DOOM community loves excess detail, but I prefer the original shareware episode 1 and Thy Flesh Consumed.
