  • Is there a comprehensive list of Quake monsters?

It is plenty of info about monsters in the official maps, but is there a comprehensive list of monsters appeared also in custom maps?

    Like the dragons in Unforgiven.
Contradiction is truth. Fear is freedom. Rights are privileges. Job is a commodity. Ignorance is strength.

I was going to point you towards the Quake wiki but then I read your post...
Such a list would be a cool thing to behold but I don't know of
    one that has them all.

I would imagine that there is a whole lot more remakes of the original monsters
    then custom new ones.

I had a search round and the best I could come up with is looking for the monsters tag used in Quaddicted map list.
Still have to click and see what the have actually changed or added tho'

Talisa might be a good person to ask about this.

uhm.... unforgiven uses the drake-mod, so im assuming you wanna know enemies from drake

      .

-there's 5 types of dragons in drake, which come in both small and big forms:
      fire -red
      ice -white
      water -blue
      acid -green
      electricity -yellow

each of them has different attacks based on their type

      .

      -the axeknight
a fast-moving knight that throws axes at the player

      .

-drake also has several enemies that were ported straight from hexen II:
archers, imps, necromancers, the skull-wizard and the yakman

afaik they all act the same as they do in hexen2

      .

-a variant of the deathknight called 'deathlord'
he's a stronger version of the deathknight that can throw spikey fireballs, and he can do a short-range lightning-attack,
and he has an energy-shield of sorts that makes him take less damage from attacks while active and that will deflect projectiles like rockets

      .

-the night-gaunt, an enemy taken from quoth (and my fave enemy)
its a flying enemy that will fly side-ways to avoid your attacks,
and it attack is the same as the shambler, shooting a lightning-bolt from its claws.

      .

-the gug, another enemy taken from quoth.
it has a huge vertical mouth, from which it can shoot acid-balls that explode into smaller balls like the multi-grenades.
with its 4 arms it can also pummel the player from up-close kicking the player away,
and it has an earthquake attack which will hurt any player to close to it

      .

-the drole, yet another enemy taken from quoth.
it shoots exploding fireballs from the big mouth in its chest,
and when the player gets within a certain range it will charge at the player and attempt to hit the player with its 4 arms

      .

-a red variant of the dogs, called hellhounds
they're just like normal dogs, except that they spit fireballs from their mouths from a distance,
and just like regular dogs they will bite you when you're up-close to them

      .

-the nemesant, which uses a modified version of the Qtest shalrath.
this enemy is extremely powerfull and often used as a boss. it has telekinetic powers with which it can freeze the player in place
and if the player is held long enough he will cause the player to implode, and it has some incredibly powerfull fireball attack

      .

-the cyberdemon (yes, the one from doom!)
acts the exact same as in doom, shooting rockets at the player in volleys of 3.
afaik its only used as final boss in the last map of map-set 'A Roman Wilderness Of Pain'

      .

      -the sha'vile
remember the archvile from doom? nasty fucker, isnt it?
now imagine what you'd get if an archvile and a shambler had a baby:
a black scaley shambler that hurls lava-balls at you and can resurrect enemies

      .

      -the dark lord
an even more powerfull pitch-black hellknight that can do all the attacks of the deathlord,
and it will randomly summon pairs of wraths to aid it in battle.
upon being killed it will change into the second form, a huge pitch-black version of the dragon from DoE,
which has a multiple additional attacks compared to the dragon from DoE: lightning, acid and fire,
and if the player gets to close it will slap the player with its tail

      .

and.... i think that pretty much covers nearly all of the enemies from drake
