The Rocket Arena Maps installer has been updated. The new version is slightly larger (was 7.7 MB, now 9.82 MB).
It had always included:
- CA+ sounds
- RA sounds (type custom-sounds at shmack:26001)
- Quake Expo Rocket Arena maps
Now includes:
- CAx sounds in addition to the CA+ and RA sounds
- Aquashark's Rocket Arena Maps
- Rocket Arena Gateway
- LAN server files and 2 convenient "click and serve" LAN shortcuts
Do you need this? Probably not.
1. The only server presently running the Rocket Arena Gateway, AquaShark's maps and the Quake Expo maps is the EuroQuake server, and the install for that server already includes those maps.
2. This install includes everything needed for a LAN game, but that won't interest everyone.
3. The CAx sounds, while nice, don't affect gameplay on a CAx server.
So, this is a general improvement to the install, but not really necessary for anyone, but more geared so from this point forward those are available to new installations.
