Mod contest???

I've seen lately that the quakeone community (with respect to mods) has been fairly "stuck". The only person who seems to do something is Seven (but in most cases updating SMC). In this community there are many talented programmers and artists: Why not organize a contest of mods?

I think it really would be very beneficial, and practical. I'm talking about any kind of mod.
I propose that we organize something like that.

Hello bfg666,

Func_Msgboard is where the mappers hang out, not the coders.
That is why they do Map Jam rather than Mod Jam
The coders are at insideqc.com for example.

Inside 3d used to have quakeC mod 'jams'; i forget what they were called. but basically someone would come up with an idea/theme and we would make a mod in a month that used the idea. just dont know how many people have much time anymore .

Or you have to guide Alex Jones through a gauntlet of TSA agents and Lamestream media reporters in FEMA region 6 while successfully defeating the participants of a George Soros funded hate group. In level 2 you have to avoid getting vaccinated and fend off the feds for not paying your ObamaCare penalty. Level 5 is nothing but you constantly interrupting your phone guest with a lot of screaming before you promote a water filter and gold. Level 22 you have to completely divorce your wife to screw LeeAnn Macadoo. It's a hell of a game. There are a lot of layers.

hehe i have always wanted to make a console game, i mean the quake console.
like a text based adventure, like zork, but using the console.
making a mod that imitates hacking some linux server would be fun...

Pbbbt, I wouldn't even know where to begin with that one, bro. You're on a whole nother plane from me regarding this mod contest. I don't have any good ideas but, I doubt I would have thought of that one.
