Lately it seems like quite a few laughable situations have occurred on one server or another. What the hell ... thread material, hehe :d
1. The other day I was battling Yellow No. 5 on his favorite Rocket Arena map, Marena2, and oddly enough we both managed simultaneous direct hits with our opening shots. Suddenly both of us are high up in the air not far apart ... I was so surprised about the situation I wasn't sure what to do, Yellow did the right thing and started shafting me, heh :d
2. -Rune-Sting on Q1EDGE. At the start of one of the Clan Arena games on Bomber I see a blue player (I'm red) facing off with a red team-mate down in the swamp area during the countdown. Of course, I start shooting rockets down on his head once the countdown begins and combined with the fire from the other red player, -Rune-Sting was basically insta-dead and started bitching about it, heheh. :d
Those 10+ player games on Q1EDGE are crazy. Seems like every time I start attacking someone, I get shafted in the back or something.
3. Friday night, I noticed LordHavoc was on Shmack in the server browser and I noticed the score was 13-0 so I decided to anonymously join the server to add some balance to the game. I correctly guessed it was a very strong player (Thresher_TU aka Cookie Monster) and it was, and within a couple of minutes he (Cookie Monster) wanted to know who I was, so I changed my name to Baker.
Meanwhile, Cookie Monster (not the same player as Monster) who, of course, keeps asking "Do you want me to play?" (as in get serious vs. being fragged by me
).
Cookie Monster is a strong player and I figure he probably wins a lot of games when I am not playing. :d
4. Q1EDGE - Double RJ with Bryant.
I'm blue. Surrounded by at least 3 reds during the countdown, there isn't anywhere good I can go. I have no idea who the reds are, so figure my best plan is to pick a red (and hope he is a crappy player), rocket jump off of him and see if I can nail some reds from the air during the hang time.
I do rocket jump, so does the player I'm fighting (Bryant) and I hit the ceiling on Q1EDGE from the effect of 2 rockets and end up taking the fall next to a wall (hello splash damage!) and obviously don't even survive long enough to hit the ground (as I was surrounded by red players).
5. Yellow adds a tag to his name [FU^]Yellow No. 5. I instantly got the joke, it does not seem that everyone has.
