  • chi.nailed.org + GameStatus.Net?

Right now we don't have the GameStatus.Net block activated, I think Solecord wants to rewrite the code so it doesn't potentially slow down the home page if the GameStatus.Net can't be queried (it happens every once in a while).

I noticed that chi.nailed.org (Chicago CA+) is now being scanned, maybe just in the last 12 hours.

I didn't know the way scoring works on CA servers would work with GameStatus.Net because it is round-based.

    Hmmm.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

mindzy posted a message on irc that they were testing the ranking of CA servers. If it's successful at chi.nailed Jackhole will add the rest of the CA servers.

Yes im waiting to Jack to get back online , we tested it out some last night and I had noticed these things:

1)Scores are resetting apparently along with "Start of new Series" Scores back to 0's. This should be an easy fix..
2)For some reason this player http://www.gamestatus.net/find.cgi?g...ion=name&name=. known to all as DOT haha,is showing uber-amounts of frags. I'm assuming ths is from playing at Net-Tyme and not actually a bug, just coincidence.

I like to think of GameStatus as a sort of Census for the activity of Quake Players, because basically it is able to give a rough estimate of the amount of players we have in the community actually playing , but GameStatus doesnt rank quite a few Q1 server's,and one of the biggest mods not being ranked is Clan Arena servers, so I mentioned this to him last night, and since Chi is the most popular server it was the more logical choice for test running rankings for CA.

this is looking impossible due to the nature of CA+ , and CAx it is possible but the way both mod's require user-inputed map voting, and the maps are never auto-switched like at for example RQ,IHOC,RA,etc , it will be hard for both servers to be ranked.
