  • What's in a Shambler's hide?

In my opinion it looks like pale skin, but I think Lovecraft's dimensional shamblers were hairy weren't they?

edit: But then again the dimensional shamblers were black, not white.

Definetely fur. I have always thought that Shamblers looked fuzzy and nice to hug since I started playing Quake when I was 5, LOL.

I always pictured the Shambler like those snow creatures from Star Wars - when Luke cuts it open to use it as protection from the weather...

Most definitely fur. The slick "just gelled down" kind.

Unfortunately no distinction on the feathers part... I've never heard that idea before.

no its not fethers or fur or wool

you see, the shambler is basically quakes bukkake bait.

                        'nuff said.

I believe someone drew a picture of a feathered Shambler once. Don't remember exactly, but somewhere I have heard the ridiculous notion of feathers.

And dang Adrian Carmack for his 'no time to answer' answer!

I think mouldy skin would be creepier than fur. I think the sounds Shamblers make are very mammal like. If they had hissed or made some other type of sound, it would have been perceived differently.
