Sorry about the crappy quality while I talk. I have an air vent right above my computer so I didn't realize it was blowing air right into the mic. Also you may hear an occasional cockatiel chirp.

Great first effort, I'd open with music like Bank because I had to rewind to catch the beginning a couple of times.

Some ideas for refinement for the future ...

You might try to resist the urge to use "anyway" and "uh" ... it is very difficult, but is good practice for public speaking. Might make sure you say something like "Welcome to Quake Radio" in the beginning to fit the title of the show in there. In public speaking/journalism/news writing, one thing that get emphasized is to keep it short. This is also difficult and takes some practice.

It does sound like you are a little tired or something. You might drink 4 Red Bull's or whatever Bank does to get hyped up and perky ahead of time

The first runthrough, I had actually edited out every time I did it. But of course you heard the program crashed and I lost my first one, so when I re-did it I just didn't bother.

The problem is that I studder when I talk into a mic or give a speech. If I'm talking to someone it's alright, but for some reason this always happens when I try to say stuff like that.

I assumed saying "Anyway" was okay since Bank does that all the time.

I dont want someone to try to "replace" me, I want someone to take the show and do it the way they want to. There is nothing worse than a cheap knockoff. I think Canadian*Sniper is next in line unless someone else is game.

Good first attempt Quad.
There are ways to get past the studdering part. My son had a major problem with that.. Trust me.. I know all about that!!!

For the lack of Pep...I can only suggest since the first one crash that perhaps the second one should have waited until you were hyped to do it again and not frustrated at the loss. And yes shield that mike from the vent. The bird was fine.

Have fun with this guys... Smile when you are talking.. I know it's hard.. it's just a mike.. But it does come thru on our end when you are smiling. Bank had some good choices in music selection and I agree there needs to be something more..

Is this going to be a vote between the two of you? Or will it be alternating radio shows?

Hi Quaddy, sorry for the late post in this thread (only just picked this up), a nice first attempt and big respect for having the cahonies (sp) to have a go, especially as you are trying to avoid the obvious trap of doing it 'bank' style. I'm sure you'll take on board the helpful suggestions from Baker and the lovely PITA and let's hear some more! :d
