Problem

Im not the most computer literate guy. When i was trying to get on to fear.quakeone.com it will load up fine and connect to the server, but then after i join the game it kicked me out to my windows saying:

Mod_extradata. cachinf failed. just wondering if its something im doing or maybe i need to install something else. thanks for your time in advance.

I've never seen that error message before, but I can look into it.

What engine are you using? DarkPlaces, Qrack, ProQuake, JoeQuake, etc?

Im using qrack. And like i said its so werid man. I can sit there and nothing happens. i can see everything and hear everything, but then i press 2 and start running around it kicks me to windows with that error message.

Hmmm ... according to this thread:

Adding -mem 32 or -mem 64 to your command line should fix the problem.

Like:

c:\quake\glqrack.exe -width 1024 -height 768 -bpp 32 -mem 64

Let me know if that works.

Im about to try it soon after supper, but I used proquake and it worked fine, but I like the qrack just a tad better so hopefully it works. Thanks so much for your help.

Thanks a ton bro. When i loaded it up i did notice that it was set to 16. I changed my shortcut, and boom now its perfect.
