Spirit's file archive is up at http://shub-hub.quaddicted.com/

Anyone can upload files to it. Anything Quake-related except demos can be uploaded to it, except illegal files like registered Quake or the mission packs.

To upload files, you need the password which is: ilovetheshubhub

The password isn't listed on the site itself to reduce the likelihood that non-Quake people will upload non-Quake files to the site.

I think I remember Spirit saying he has 200 GB of space, so space is probably not a problem.

registered Quake is registered while non-registered Quake is not.

edit: I should clear something up. It is not meant as "archive". That would mean I would need to sort stuff. It is just an easy way for people to share their Quake stuff. Eg. someone needs a host for a map, here it is. It is not meant to be sorted. Rather a big mess of files.

Well, so, having the registered version or the unregistered one changes nothing?

First off, this is a great idea and site. Good job and thanks!

Secondly, is there any way possible to allow FTP access to this so it's easier to mass upload and download? I think just setting up an anonymous account with a password would work great.

I think I read Spirit say somewhere he'll give special FTP access to someone with a lot of files to contribute, uploadwise.

Sure. I can also just mirror files if they are available somewhere already.

Thanks for the space, but how can someone delete something... say, old versions of their maps?
