Yeah, it's mostly because the light positioning in Quake is designed for lightmaps, so there end up being a lot of them. The .rtlights files are specially designed for rtlighting, so there aren't quite as many lights, and they're more intelligently placed. It's not as if the .rtlights files inherently make the rtlighting faster, they're just more efficiently designed.A signature? Oh dear.

I didn't mean for it to be Windows-only, but it seems the engine I made it from had the linux parts stripped out or something. I'm going to be looking into restoring linux support soon.
