I always reflect back on my days when I was HPB or when I just initially turned LPB (1998-2002) to think of the best players. I know there have been many great players come up after that time (TV comes to mind) but here's my list:

(note I won't put myself up even if I do believe it )

LPB:

It's really too bad the majority of these guys don't play anymore.. and instead replaced with some douchebags who are too insecure and depend on this game as their livelihood*cough* and think they're good .. I don't have any passion anymore when I play which is why I go on a long hiatus.. I can see some others like Spoon/Chronage doing the same.. some that get beaten down over and over again in 1v1 but think leading the scoreboard in a pub game with various scrubs means they are elite.. or that they are entitled to shit talk u because they fragged u a few times..

I'm glad that I had a chance to play with great players like you Nate, in10sity, IOV, DOOM, oTn, BOT, Sped, back in the day when the servers were packed with players.. it's a nostalgic feeling when I compare what a dump Quake has become..the weird thing is.. the shakeout seems to have caused all the good/nice people to leave but left mostly the sour cats who are pissed off about their sad lives and take it out in the game..

I highly doubt that you beat everyone on that list - especially when some of those players were gone when you hit the CA scene - even so - beating someone doesn't make you better than them. Beating them more than they beat you - yes

I didn't mean to discriminate against you Chris by not putting you on there. You're one hell of a player. My honorable mention would probably list you, chronage, oTn/In10/CB Rage, oTn Cajun, Tool and Spoon
