  • DM3: The Alternate Base release candidate

    As is described, the map is basically completed. Some changes not seen by anyone yet include a wider outside area with a football field, revamped sng room, higher mound room sky ceiling, and improved lighting in mound and red armor areas.

    If no one notices a problem, this will become the finalized version, so let me know!

    (Note: The final release will have the source and gnu.txt, as is required.)

    It's a good map remake of DM3. Just needs a pint of light in the football field. It's alittle too dark in some of the area. The rest is fine.

        Lately darkplaces has been fucking up for me but for the purpose of this map i was trying out different engines. Is there a command to not make(change) the sky look lame---as in comparason to dark places where it looks like stars from that old star trek dos game.

        does rage 01 have it server side? i don't see it in the warp menu.

          Sounds like you are using Qrack, is that correct? If so, do r_skyscroll 0 and I think this will fix it.

            ack! Was just trying it out and resulted in nothing noticiable.

            above = "lame sky" in qrack

            above = proquake stars (in motion) how i would like it to look

                Remove that from your config/autoexec, and you'll get the skybox set in the map. You can also try r_skyscroll 1 or set custom skyboxes with r_mapname_skybox

                  Yes indeedy i am. Had some extra time this morning and felt like tweeking and trying to just have one config; congif.cfg. No more 'writing novels' everytime i load. Its a long process but i've made leaps and bounds!

                    someone let me know when this map is 100% finalized, that way I can download and be done with it hahah.
