It's not a bad arrangement, definately confused me every so often since I'm so used to the map.

I only saw one extra quad, but then again there might have been one or two missing as well.

One thing I'll point out is that in a DM game the only weapons available are double barrel and grenade launcher. The map is missing the rest of the weapons.

it isnt geared torwards DM, e4m3 was mostly hallways and more hallways, and strung out rooms, looking like a hug ass rectangle or square. I talked Zop into remaking it, in more of a tightly confined area. Im going to look at it now.

Remix maps are often confusing, I rather dislike them for this reason, I'd rather see some really cool new maps that are comparable to e4m3

The Elder God Shrine is quadalicious, I'd hope any remake has the same number of quads

I can live without the NG, and maybe without the SNG, but no LG?!? NO RL?!?

Yeah I was like "Where the hell is my rocket launcher?!" after scouting the whole map.

Yeah I wasn't trying to call it a DM map or anything, I was just giving an example of a mod that had weapon spawns.

I mean hell, if it was played on RuneQuake or CTF it would be the same deal, double barrel and grenade launcher.

well, I wasnt concerned with it being played outside of Clan Arena, I'm currently waiting on Yellow No. 5 to get it uploaded to Rage 2005 , I havent played it in CAx mod,and wont until it gets uploaded, and once uploaded, I can gain input on it. Otherwise, input wont be based on gameplay, and gameplay input is much more essential than just input. Zop is truely doing a great job in adding CAx playable maps.

LordHavoc once mentioned that e4m3 was known as the "Elder Quad Shrine" in CTF. It would be nice to have any variant map live up to that...

16:03:30 <gb> the fact that only playtesting tells me that probably means that my mind is a sieve

Give me some details on item placement, and I'll do it.

Load e4m3 in DarkPlaces, drop console and do sv_saveentfile, quit, look in your maps folder for a file called e4m3.ent and diff it against 3wave421d.zip/3wave421x/maps/e4m3.ent

                        Or don't, because it's a 71.5k diff file that's kinda messed up...

As you should know, most of the hallways are gone, so even if I had a diff program and was able to make an .ent file, I would see a lot of entites that have no place in the map... though, diff wouldn't know when two entities are the same, but in different parts of the file.

I see some texturework that needs to be done, so the map is not finalized as of yet.

                          UPDATE

Map is updated with a bunch of fixes to textures and gameplay. Some of the weapons had flags set to be deathmatch-only, but I removed those flags, removed the single-player quad, and added a couple RLs. Use the same link again to get new map.

I haven't looked at the actual map...
