  • RQuake server back online

    The RQuake server, which has been down for months, is now up and running again. Hosted by me, the server address is fvf.servequake.com port 26003.

    And I have yet to hear a "thank you" from Rocketguy for hosting it for him

    Anyway, its ready to roll so have fun.

    The coop.runequake.com DNS doesn't work yet, but it will be updated within a week.

    Also, RQuake now has an experimental hiscore system which records top 5 for each map to a file.

      I'm glad to see the return of RQuake.
      Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

      So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

              hmmm i've tried the server a few times, and I can connect but I get so lagged within 1-2 seconds that I can't even move or chat. what the heck? Can*Sniper and FOQ don't seem to have the same problem.

                I don't know who Can*Sniper is but I was there too. Spooker seems to lag really bad (711) then drops out.

                Bug report: a knight teleported into me and I couldn't harm it (unless I did splash damage but I was fresh out of rockets). I couldn't move either so it was just a slow death >: O

                  As far as I know, it should be on the same server as FVF, do you have the problem there? And what client are you using?

                    I had this before in Rune Quake, I think nails ended up doing the trick? The shotgun was definitely useless.

                    I've not played too much of Rune Quake, so maybe it's a common/well known issue?

                      Alc: The knights can't be damaged when invisible. They also stay invisible for far too long. They don't actually teleport right now, just disappear when they can attack you at range and only reappear when ready to slap you.

                          Well, yeah, that much is obvious. My problem was that I got one stuck to me and I couldn't move, but he could attack.

                          It wasn't on the server you're all talking about, it was on flanders, but I doubt that matters.

                              Not really, no. They both have relatively up-to-date versions.
