  • Help!

    Hey guys,

I do not have Quake. I had the cd YEARS and YEARS ago, but it's long gone. I'm confused about all of the client downloads on here. I just want to download good ol' Quake on my PC. Can anyone help me?

    Thanks a MILLION.

I'm sure there's something on here, but the file I downloaded that contains everything you need (including all 4 episodes, not just the first one) can be downloaded from this: oooooops

    Hope that helps.

Oberlin, YOU are amazing. Thank you very much. You've just changed the quality of my life.

Ok, everything works and I'm playing Quake!
I do have one big question though. Where is the Nine Inch Nails Soundtrack? Am I just missing it or is it really not on there? If not, can it be added?

To play music, just pop in a music cd into your cdrom. It will use tracks 2 through 11 for regular quake. This means you can pop the Quake CD into your machine and it will play the music. Just make sure that the cd contains tracks 2-11. Track1 only gets played on custom maps that look for it.

I edited the link out of one of the above posts, a year ago we decided on a "no illegal downloads" rule in the forums. I'm sure no one knew and it's not like Quake is sold in stores, but about a year ago there were a ton of links to stuff like this and it caused a problem so Solecord enacted the rule.

Quake is actually still sold on id Software's web site:

              http://www.idsoftware.com/games/quak...me_section=buy

As far as the Quake soundtrack goes, you don't even get that with the $20 instant download at id Software's site, you have to buy an Ultimate Quake 1-2-3 set or buy a used one off Ebay.

Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
