    Aw God!

    - 11 GB / 35692 files / 1560 folders (4 y old external archive HDD)
    - 8.8 GB / 22977 files / 1811 folders (4 y old G4 Mac)
    - 6.14 GB / 14022 files / 533 folders (1 y old PC)
    - 909 MB / 940 files / 63 folders (3 m old MacBook Pro)

Err... yes... Don't ask... I must be sick...
Yeah, a lot of doubles, sure!
But you know: a new machine = a new install.

edit: forgot 6 GB more Q1 archive on the PC...

Quake dir is just about 2GB as I often clean it.
Quake Archive dir is fricking huge and divided to two harddisks. I only have one plugged in at the moment and it is 6GB.

Ok... WTF could possible be in a Quake directory that's more than a few hundred meg. Seriously, I'm curious. Come to think of it, my manhood is seriously compromised insulted and I now have "Q1Dir-Envy".

The added space would come from custom maps, tons of WAV files from different mods, hi res screenshots, multiple quake engines,

Once well over 1GB. Right now I Tarred/Bzipped most mod folders, erased a number of others, and deleted a lot of maps and textures, so I'm at about 400 M.

Only keeping hipnotic, bbelief, zer, plus frik- and frogbots. The rest goes on CD ROMs.

I need space for Baldur's Gate and I have way too much stuff in my /home :-D Will probably install very basic Q2 (perhaps just the demo) and some roguelikes. That's enough for games.

I don't view mine as large. I think there are some people from the modding and/or single player communities with ones 3 times as large or even larger.

Yea, mine use to be around 20 gb, just from so many demo's and picks. I found out when it said you have no more diskspace please erase something and try again, I was like what? trying to figure out what the fuck is taking up so much space andn its lil ol q1 with the install of 24mb? but grew to 20gb haha.
