tut36: Banned!

We would like to keep moderation very lax on this board, but today we were forced to ban the user "tut36" for being unruly on the boards. We tried to reason with him, but then the discussion got uncivil and he started throwing stuff and ... well ... we just can't have that.



Problems on the servers

The friction all started when Tut36 complained that he was being harassed on the servers. Players complained that he was camping. He argued that he wasn't camping, but he just can't move very fast.

There were also plenty of cheating accusations with players complaining that he sometimes got up after being fragged. He feels that he was unfairly singled out for being different.

We've heard the various admins debate the issue, and although they can sympathize with his side of the story, they were concerned that all that decaying flesh was fouling up the water on DM3.

Issues on the board

After being banned, like most players, he decided to hit the messageboards.

He had already been given his first warning a week ago when he posted inappropriate pictures of his girlfriend in the image gallery.



Tut36 began mouthing off about his treatment on the servers. But he blew a fuse when he saw that "Zombie" was one of the post rankings, he complained that he was being discriminated against and started arguing with the moderators.

After losing the argument, he started throwing stuff -- typical zombie behavior -- and after some discussion, we felt it was time he felt.

After flipping us off, he told us "Fine, I'll just go play Resident Evil"

My friend (Private John T. Wilkerson) who was zombified in the horrible UAC disaster would like to state that Tut36 is an embarrasment to his race, sorta like Colin Powel.

I think it is funny that on any given single player map, you know you are about to run into some zombies if you find a grenade launcher.

Well, it's my favourite singleplayer weapon beside the Supernailgun. Very useful.

In a single player map, if I find the SNG, I know I'm in business. And, I think most people feel that way, so most good single player maps have the regular nail gun hanging around and don't have the SNG until you are almost done.

I need to keep such in mind whenever I make a sp map of my own.

Ive always had pseudo-non-linear sp maps in mind, and such would make good use of shaking up those weapon pickup conventions seen in Quake so often.

I already have ideas now. Crap... Must rant to SantaClaws about map ideas!

LOL that was hilarious. Did you make that up baker?? And yes, the SNG does OWN in single player. "drops enemies like flies, eats ammo like popcorn" (according to the quake1 manual)

Unlimited range, stuns monsters, lethal, won't kill yourself with it in close quarters fights and Shamblers don't have any special immunity to it.

Takes forever to kill a shambler with rockets or grenades.
