CAx and Frikbots / other Bots

Was wondering if r00k ever got bot support implemented into CAx,or whatever .I've been playing CTF and TDM on Q3 and Urban Terror, the mod for Q3.

Hope everyone is doing well, done some reading on the forums and seem's all is well,and 'the real' Da5iD apparently showing up on the forum's. Seems weird that the guy claiming to be him was on GameSurge when I made that post to begin with heh. Oh well, it was hype whether it was the real deal or not,and even got a news slot at PlanetQuake

Hey mindz. I would suggest Frogbots for CA. It's not CAx, but just like it with no self damage, and damage frags.

The only thing is you'll have to use a Quakeworld engine to play.

Download frogbot here:

Extract everything into c:\quake\frogbot.

Get Trinca's QWprogs.dat here (supports 377 maps and allows CA mode)

Put this into your c:\quake\frogbot folder and overwrite the other qwprogs.dat if needed.

Download a Quakeworld engine (I use fuhquake):

Example command line:
C:\Quake\fuhquake-gl.exe -game frogbot -listen 16 +spectator 0 -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel

Load up a map and type rules in the console to see all of the things you can set. Turn on damage, arena, autosteams, autoreport, botchat if you'd like, and type restart in the console. You can also raise/lower the bot skill level by typing skillup and skilldown in the console. Skill 10 is the hardest noncheating skill, skill 20 is the hardest cheating skill. Next, add some bots, and they should automatically pick their own teams.

You can also play DM or Team Deathmatch... For team deathmatch you'll need the team.cfg. Quakeone won't let me upload .cfg files so re-name it as a .cfg. Put this in your Frogbot folder and type "exec team.cfg" (without quotes) in the console. Add some bots and you should be good to go.

Bah , Trinca's download has a corrupt header,im going to try opening it using WinZip instead of WinRAR.


If you could please , re-zip or re-rar your copy and post a different download link for me? I'm on dialup,so downloading winzip will be a pain in the ass
