No, I did do it, but Chuck left out the whole story.

Chuck was an A-hole when I was running the server so I didn't give it back to him when he begged, pleaded, theatened and used his cancer story to try to win it back. Dole, who was also involved, used the server to try and screw Slot. I didn't have time to run the server, so I gave it to Ben. But then Ben was friends with someone who was certified insane. Ben then used all his Deadzone buddies to get back at Painkiller, only to later return to him weaping like a little baby.

I thought I gave the server to the best person at the time, but I was wrong. Chuck was also in error for the way he treated me while I was running it. He was an emotional rollercoaster the whole time... one day it's like "You're doing a great job!" then the next "You're the dumbest admin in the world. Then it was like "I've written the host an e-mail I'm going to get it back" then it was like "You know what what, forget it" then he turned around and exploded over and over.

So I was like "How can I give it to this emotionally unstable woman? I'ma give it to Ben, he seems like a good guy." but I ended up giving it to an emotionally unstable woman afterall, and Chuck gave up after it reached Ben's hands.

I was finally free to write the code and update the server like I wanted all along, no more admin issues.

But, I was wrong. Again. Everything was hijacked and TLTQ was supposedly "born". TLTQ was nothing more than a hijacking.

Yeah, that stuff was crazy. I'm not going to place blame anywhere because a lot of it went around and in a lot of places. But a lot of really dumb stuff went on, and I was pretty pissed about it.

At least a couple of the most insane personalities have found other hobbies besides Quake. The most insane being the guy who deleted the TLTQ.com database.

Many players had a party that day; everyone in eSx did, that's for sure. We knew he couldn't show his face again after that and it was nice to have that shit over.

I'm still a bit miffed at Slot Zero, but then I wouldn't be here at all if it weren't for him rejecting my new maps idea. If it hadn't been for Saleen being screwed by Dole... there has to be a simpler way of doing this..

Wait, here's the unoffical "Screw you" list:

Slot Zero screwed IEEE 802.11 im the map project scandle.
Dolemite screwed Saleen and created Beatdown Alley.
IEEE 802.11 screwed Dolemite for being a bad admin.
Dolemite screwed EVERYONE by removing the website.
Chuck and Hideo screwed IEEE's head while he ran Widomaker.
IEEE screwed Chuck by giving the server to Ben.
Ben screwed Painkiller by making all the former DeadZone admins into admins in his server farm.
JeanLuc screwed IEEE by making a death threat that Ben ignored. Rqplus.com was born.
TLTQ screwed RQplus.com because Ben refused to move there (JeanLuc owned TLTQ.com).
Ben screwed IEEE because of JeanLuc not liking him and likewise. IEEE had to leave.
PainKiller screwed himself at some point.
JeanLuc screwed... EVERYBODY by removing TLTQ. (Yay!)
Widomaker hosting service screwed EVERYONE by removing the Quake server.
Dialzoid screwed IEEE by refusing to run his code on the grounds that "It could crash the server". RQP died.
Dialzoid screwed EVERYBODY by removing his site and server. (Yay #2!)

I'm sure I forgot a few screws somewhere. And no sex was involved at all. Thank goodness.

I still think IEEE was the best programmer with the best ideas. Admins are control freaks by nature and if they aren't, they dont last long. I regret losing wido. The circumstances of how it happened are just a lesson learned.

I recall having a chat with a so called ex-admin of Beatdown Alley, telling me how he/she got banned out of his/her own server. Didn't put THAT much care in for the guy's story but the NEW admin wouldn't tell me jackshit. I don't recall the ex-admin's name but I never doubted him/her.

Oddly enough, I think that had to do with an incident involving me.

I went to Beatdown Alley one day and after a game broke up, it was just me and some admin player.

This player wouldn't play, kept admin killing me and doing other stuff. I didn't care but I found it a little annoying he wouldn't play -- because like most players, I thought Beatdown was the 8th wonder of the world.

I told Dole about it in a passing conversation when he and I were chatting around and taking about best maps or something. He wasn't happy about it, said something about he has too much of that stuff to players, briefly shut down the server to recompile with a different admin code.

I truly didn't care about the incident involving me. I'm laid back, it didn't bother me, but I guess he had done that to others and alienated some players from the server.

                  Or something like that.

That was Saleen (I forget his original name now). This was when I was really starting to get serious about QuakeC programming, I screwed my own map project idea in favor of coding.

To me, Dole was a freakin lunatic. I never met the guy, but lefty did so maybe he can tell you. He seemed like a nice guy with a nice wife and kid. Maybe he was just messing with some folks.

We should go into the Chronicles of Troy: "Gooland III" next.

DeadmanWalking admin killing and Troy couldn't get rid of him because he was related to the hosting..
Troy and Rah team camping all the time (Good times... good times...)
"Asshole" (aka TheHunter)... no explantion needed for him...
                          BrucerD playing drunk...
Rah hosting the server on his crappy cable...

I play Quake to shoot things and be shot at.

And only take 5 damage from falling.

Rah and Troy, as much as I hated them at the time, never strayed from being total assholes. They were consitant. You always knew what to expect when they showed up.

They were the reason wido went to being a hpb only server for 8 months and my best time was when team "mow" talked Rod into banning him.

A couple years ago Rah showed up at tltq hen I was an admin and we had some good matches. Nothing personal and he was pretty cool.
