  • Any idea who....?

Yo any idea who the player "El Scorcho" is? I have no idea who this guy is but he apparently knows who I am, and he said he hates me for some reason. He even changed his name recently to "qhbt_tu".

I really don't care that this dude hates me, I just want to know who the hell he is. I thought he was some newb but apparently he's been around for a while.

It's a shame when someone acts in this matter but the next time this individual is on try and get some information via iplog (staus > identify player#) as I seem to recall Spooker mentioning that has an extensive source of player information. Hope this helps

    Kind regards

PlayeR was caught using El Scorcho's name and saying mean things when really El Scorcho wasn't saying anything at all. Check your iplogs, it might just be another impostor.

DarkPlaces has an iplog since about March.

I'll have to see which version of DP I use - I think it's an older one since I had problems with the newer versions' settings.

The last one was taken last night on FVF, which I used Qrack for.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to give it a shot next time I see him.

hmm, it would be interesting to post iplogs, from the servers... hmm do u think it would infringe any rights? I think NetQuake Europe has a ip -> player listing... maybe we could too

PlayeR is one of the most annoying douchebags on quake, i really have no doubt it was probably him. here is a link to my iplog; it is 600kb as a dat file and 800kb as a text file (both included). Bam gave it to me a few years ago when it was 200kb or so and now i pass it on to you. i support accountability in quake. To use it and start adding to it, put the dat file in your ID1 folder, then start proquake with the "-iplog" command line option. Then it will start adding info on every player you see on a server automatically. To get info on a player, type status, then read that player's id#, and type identify #. Max info it can store on one player is 64 names; i know this cuz yugo2heck uses a different name every time since he talks shit up and down the server whenever he loses and doesn't want people to dislike him
