This forum is your only source of inflicting social terrorism, abuse, intimidation and superiority.

Stop coming into threads harrasing posters with flame unrelated with the original topic of the thread. That is a bannable offense, mods please take notice! You cause severe disruptions and these are not grounds for your personal Internet e-wars. LOL!

      the sys_ticrate was changed to sys_ticrate "0.025".

Yellow No.5 suggested this so we'll see how it works.

      *Note* Rage uses sys_ticrate "0.025"

Lower ticrate equates faster response in movements, why bump up maxspeed by 105%? Is it that at maxspeed 335 with show_speed, after friction is calculated, that it displays 320? Lower ticrate will make faster bunnyhops etc by itself. Heck there's also sv_accelerate and sv_friction too. CA+ changed sv_accelerate from 10 to 12, and sv_friction from 4 to 5. This made dodging nails alot easier yet it simply made the game more bobblehead-ed as the ticrate was too high for these settings. I agree with the expanding capacity of our internet connections that a faster ticrate is good, 1996 standard ticrate was 0.1 (10 frames per sec), in 1998 crmod popularized the 0.05 ticrate(20 fps), 2008 0.025(40fps) is favored, but at 0.01 (100fps), would cost most clients unfavorably in transfer rates.

It's nice though that a server is taking advantage of all the options of CAx and not just a standard "DM3 24/7" ...
