My skill has grown TIA. We must 1-1 soon. And no going easy on me.

Tia and I have always had this thing going, where I would always just barely come out on top. I sorta like to pour it on towards the end, and it always takes me a long time to warm up in a FFA. If I see her winning, I would pour it on and she would lose. Man, that would really tick her off!

May not be able to do that anymore...So the other day, she won one, then I won...back and forth. My game still has these lagout spots which really sucks when you're being shot at, then the "plug" icon for a few seconds, and the next frame shows ya dead. Looks like it happens in JoeQuake as well. That JQ is a bit wierd, the lighting is horrible as welll.

But the point is, Tia/Paradise = #1

i cant give an honest answer, as ive never 1 on 1ed either of the players.

in a full game, im able to kill Cherrie with not too much difficulty about as much as she is able to kill me. be these legitimate kills or just lucky shots, i dont know.

In JoeQuake, try -mem 32 in the command line. Very important!

Yes and I can remember back when I would also play my best and edge out Tia every time. Nothing was more fun than beating the pompous player who boldly announced she would win the next map and then beat her.

And then, of course, the first day comes when that doesn't happen.

I can beat Tia in FFA sometimes because I can beat anyone in FFA sometimes, and I'm sure I could beat her at Rocket Arena on ArenaX most of the time, but in a 1 on 1 she beats me really bad and overall she is of a much higher skill level.

Truthfully I think Spoiled from IHOC is the best female Quake player. She pulled a comeback on me last night that had my head spinning.

I saw the match Phenom is talking about as well as did another registered user here [wont say who] I havent seen Spoiled and Paradise play at the same time so it's hard to say who is better, but she DID come back like a bat outta hell, was down something like 12-14 frags then, SNAP started owning like mad.

Tia, you must train your RA skillz with me some more. They are a bit lacking. With them, you could MAYBE. JUST MAYBE be better than Tical.

I hear what you guys are saying and I agree with it.

I could never be better then Tical (well never say never, but maybe, if I keep an open mind) because he has more natural ability then me. Train as I might, sometimes you just can't do it as you lack the talent.

Anyway, FFA games are one thing, and I am more slow and tactical, so that explains why Baker (who is a decent player by the way) and Urdead (who is also good) sometimes win over me.

1on1 games are different, and thats where I excell more. Each player has his own set of skills and strenghts/ weaknesses so it all depends. Some people do good at FFA and are terrible in DM and vice versa.

For example Tical who beats the crap outta me in DM, he barely gets half my score in FFA at RuneQuake. He is terrible with runes and hook. But that's just the way it is.

As for RA, I admit I'm not very good at that mod, so I do need training.

With Runequake, it is a good thing if you know how to use the hook. If you use the bunny-hopping with the hook, you can navigate VERY quickly and run through the level annihalating players. I don't really use runes that much, just the ones that give you bonuses (you don't have to activate them all the time).

i'm not sure who would win this one. They both have some good skills. I think whichever one happens to pick up the most defensive runes will win.
or, whichever one buys my new quake book, "sneaky sneaky tricks".
They both seem to fall for the "ha, he just ran out of rockets! trick".... or the, "chase the out of ammo guy through the tele! (who has shielding and is standing on tele) trick"

She is vastly improved. PenDragon beat Quazy in a 1 on 1. PenDragon could beat DFG. Tia has beaten PenDragon in a 1 on 1.

I didnt play for 8 mths, and played Pen the day that I got back into it, so yes he beat me 1 time... I played for a few days, scraped some rust off, and beat Pen and CC (they teamed up) vs me like 50 - 20 or something.. Then I played Pen again in a 1v1 and beat him 50-12. Tical also beat me 1 time in a 1v1 about 3 months ago after a long break, and since I have beat him twice in runes, and tied him once in CA.... But I have started playing again lately, and I definitely am not as good as I use to be.... hehe Although its still fun and Im sure I will get more cordinated and accurate with time! Ill cya all around on the servers. :d

Sorry about that Baker.. Yea its good to see you all again on here still play'n. This game is just too friggn addictive eh? I think we all are cursed 4ever. hehehe Ill cya around man.. And to keep this topic on the right track... It is definitely Cherry or T!A. I would love to see them do a 1v1.
