I never actually tried the killer quake pak, but I do remember it saying it had a portal gun in it..never knew it was this similar. -
Ut2004 had a portal-gun mod also. Alot of ideas recycle from engine to engine; wasnt CounterStrike just a clanarena ripoff?Comment

There's already been countless arguments over this topic and from the results I've seen I think it's best you do yourself some more research before making any accusations. Portal was first started by like 2 students in which valve noticed and hired them to make Portal into a game. It's more of a ripoff Prey than it is a ripoff this quake mod. Do you truly think that valve used a quake mod's source code to make portal? Wolf3d was a first person shooter. Does that mean that id software is only allowed to make first person shooters?
