so.. i was sitting here working on some quakeC code, (yes yellow#5 mark your calendar), and my mind started wandering and I had this idea for a mini-mod or sub game mode. The name popped in my head, but after a google search i found that it was already taken.. "target quake". Well my idea initially was this:
A player starts at one end of the map and runs through the level to the end.
Targets are placed throughout for the player to shoot. All weapons are available at spawn. But the scoring structure is as such:
1.> 1 point for each target hit
2.> ++ points based on distance from the player to the target, greater the distance, greater the point.
3.> time bonus from start to end.
obviously splash damage isnt counted for, would take a direct hit. I basically have always wanted to make a mod that would be fun, but also strengthen players game. And this would be a great practice mod to play while all servers are empty.
