First let�s talk about rage. You say yellow killed it with his devilish abusiveness. I just checked. All the servers are still up. Also, people actually use them for scrims and other stupid crap. People continued playing at rage when speaknow came online. A lot of people started playing at speaknow because of better pings. It had nothing to do with admins for most. To a few of you that had worn out your welcome at rage, it was probably an opportunity for you to act like a douche while playing. So now we have two servers people are playing at. People are coming onto the servers trying to pull players away to other servers for games. Yeah.. fun. Continuously. The servers also have different settings and play feel than one another.
If there are going to be multiple servers we�re all playing on, shouldn�t there be consistency in the way that those servers are configured and admined? Shouldn�t those servers share the same ban-lists? Why? Quake1-ca community is a pretty small community compared to other games/mods. Everyone knows everyone. We play with the same people everyday. Now we have rage admins and speaknow admins collaborating to do just that. We did not have to pay for rage servers where as dread was having to pay for speaknow. Wow! Yellow bought his way into admin to keep his power hungry struggle alive even though people were still playing at rage to abuse! No wait! It was the fair thing to do if we were combining resources.
Eventually people did stop playing at rage. I stopped playing there because all of my clan mates pinged better at speaknow and always played there. They didn�t start playing at speaknow because rage admins oppressed them. Now the people that hate on yellow are totally upset because he�s an admin at speaknow and threatens their ability to be lame. So behind everything, discussions are held about treatment towards some of the people. We talked about warnings, muting, kicking, banning, etc. People that were before deemed completely annoying and mute/ban worthy now got clean slate in accordance with Dreadfuls wishes. The server settings are set the same. Everything is fine for the most part. Babysitting kids is a daily thing but for the most part is fine.
Unfortunately, people like omi dirty up their clean slates pretty fast. People that were giving those bad apples the benefit of the doubt soon learn that everyone else was right about them. Omi would like for you believe that he has been mistreated. Not the case. Omi would like for you believe he has not been allowed to play a game that he loves. Not the case. Omi has always been able to play. He may not have been able to play and spam/harass people at the same time. He could always play though. He just doesn�t care to play unless he can do the other.
Every time I read through these posts of his and few other peoples. I�m reading the same shit over and over. What do we really have here? Admins can�t please everyone all the time. This person wants 2 teams, this person wants 3 teams, and another person wants 4 teams. Well, the admins try to come up with solutions that will make everyone happy. It�s about the users in the end. YELLOW CHANGES THE GAMEPLAY TO SUIT HIM. ROFFLE. That�s the biggest crock of shit I�ve heard. We change settings based on what we�ve discussed and what feedback people have given us.
There is a whole group of people that have made ca more popular than what it was a yr+ ago. From admins of quakeone.com, to rook and bam, to yellow5, to visine and clan hdz, to dreadful and phenom, and all the other server admins. People who have invested their time, their money, and efforts into making things better and providing more options for YOU ALL. It�s a slap in the fucking face for a few of you dipshits to say things are worse. They may be worse for you because you made it that way. If you knew how to act more mature, instead of acting like a little spoiled brat, maybe you wouldn�t get muted. Sniff.
Everyone else contributes to make this little world that you like to abuse possible.
