As some of you may know... i love aerowalk. it's not only a great 1v1 map, but its also an INSANE 2v2 map. problem is getting people to play it. As of late i've been getting people to 2v2dm ztndm3 witch is real fun... but i think aerowalk is way more fun 2v2 map. Only problem is, all of the aerowalk.bsp on netquake servers don't have the Quad damage that the map has in QW. I think if it had the quad on it, people would take another look at playing it as a 2v2 map as well. just rambling. any idea's?

Aero gets played a lot on the Euro servers, such as Bigfoot and Flanders which have dozens of voteable custom maps, and I think I'd be right in saying it's usually pretty enjoyable for most involved. I'm sure you'd be welcome to come and join in but don't play no hopers like me instead try playing Peg, Jackhammer, dude or Polarite to get more of a challenge
Aero is also a lot of fun as a painkeep or Deathmatch plus map as is Ultraviolence. The Painkeep version allows you to use lots of strategically placed traps such as Beartraps, gravity wells and Autosentries around the level. If you play on a DMP server you can use tripwires/Radio Tag bombs/Homing Rockets/etc to achieve the same ends and if a DMP admin such as Polarite is on he can place virtually any weapon/powerup/ammo anywhere in game to even things up and deter any campers or spammers.
The only danger of course is that as some of the corridors in Aero are a little tight it's very easy to get Quad and end up blasting yourself to pieces. Although that's probably just me :d

word. See in QW the quad in aerowalk is in the hallway where GL and green armor are. Its right in the corner as you go up the steps. but on the us nqdm the quad dmg isn't on the map whatsoever. is it possible someone could edit the aerowalk.bsp and to have opinon of quad, and get it to the admins of servers??...Fiction is the truth inside the lie...

I seem to recall reading somewhere that some server side mods such as CRMod support placing additional entities on maps. In which case once you know what servers you are interested in, rather than recompile the map you could approach the admin and ask if the admin would mind adding this for you.
Just as an example, this is an excerpt from the CRMOD Manual

thanks burns. yeah the servers im hoping to get it on are mainly the US dm servers. such as, chi1.suroot.com, quake.crmod.com, dm.clanhdz.com. i could ask the guys that run the suroot servers and hdz servers, but i dont have a clue who's in charge of crmod... anyone know?...Fiction is the truth inside the lie...

No doubt aerowalk is a great deathmatch map, but it's starting to become the dm3 of Rage on the Euroquake server. Every other time I join on Euroquake, aerowalk is being played.
Okay maybe not the dm3 of Rage but still, its the most played map on Euroquake. It's even the default start map is the server should crash.

Well it is played quite a bit but personally I don't think it's anywhere near the dreadful dm3 scenario and it's still a loooong way behind dm6 and dm4. Although that said, variety is the spice of life and I agree more maps should be brought in to the rotation to freshen up the mix.
Perhaps another ORL DM masterpiece is what we need? Especially after the last one went down so well.Wadda ya say? Something equally tight and fast to rival Aero? Maybe even an ORL remix of Aero?

despair not.. i have about 200 more maps waiting to be added into the mix of the current 120-ish custom maps (RA-maps excluded).. once i have fixed a reliable way of overriding rune-quake's map-rotation-code, i will send the list to baker to be added to pq399's http-map-downloading-site..
i'm also working on a aerowalk/dm3-remix along with some other interesting mapping-concepts.. i just wish i could do it all at once and it wouldn't take so much time
and surely any new ORL-dm-maps are welcome anytime!
