Anyone ever play with the swinging grapple?
I'm mostly talking about the tricked out "Wickedhook", an evolved form of the swinging grappling hook, found wa-here: http://gamers.org/pub/idgames2/quakec/misc/wickhook.zip (Its a bit tricky sometimes, but the like is ancient, and works still. Keep trying and you'll get it, promise)
Yeah, I know it wasnt much good in claustrophobic environments. Waah. It takes more effort to learn. waaaaah. and its not so straight forward...
.... WAAH!
Until you play slide or quake, maybe airquake maps with it.
Then its god.
Now if there were maps MADE for this purpose... like, say, free-swinging guns-blazing combat with spires and a pit of lava at the bottom if you werent tarzan enough...Then we have an interesting game.
Try the wicked hook on a huuuuge map, like slide slide maps or quake rally maps, and play with the physics. Its. A. Blast.
