Quake 1 complete with original box...worth anything?

I was looking through my closet and found the first Quake game complete with the original box, still in fairly good shape, and I was wondering if it's worth anything? I don't expect it to be worth a lot, but I couldn't find one on ebay or anywhere else, and since the game came out 12 years ago, an original box ought to be pretty hard to find...right?

I thought this might be a good place to ask, since I have no idea if I should keep it or just throw it away.

You could try selling it on eBay, but unless it is in mint condition, unopened or signed by someone from id Software, it's probably a $12-$15 item.

/Just my guess, since they sold so many copies of Quake.

Before you throw it away, give it away for free and let the recipient pay for shipping.

It's not worth more than any other old game, 10$ maybe.
