  • I'm glad he could be reached.

Late last night I decided to play a couple games of quake before bed. I went to a rage.quakeone.com:26001, where frenzy, and saruak were having a interesting discussion. Chad who was pinging 200, and still playing like a LPB, put the hurting to Saruak who had a ping in the lower 30's. Not to be a dick but to prove a point frenzy, beat saruak in such a nasty way, it would be embarassing to anyone who's played quake for numerous years. frenzy didn't gloat or talk down to saruak about his overwhelming victory, but saruak was felt the need to defend himself anyway and started spurting out trash talk and excuses. frenzy didn't bite, instead he told saruak he would help him become a better quake player. after a while saruak stopped the stupid talk, and actually started listening to frenzy. admitting your not as good as someone at something is a hard thing to do. there is always going to be someone better at something than you, being pissed about it, and being an asshole isnt going to get you anywhere. it seems that people in real life, and on the internet have forgotten how to relate to others in a positive way, whether it be out of jealousy for a skill that you may not possess, or envy, or greed/selfishness, or just general hatred towards others for no apparent reason at all. there used to be a time when everyone had respect for each other, and gave it in the same fashion. i think we need to check our ego's at the door, life would go much easier that way. being mean to people for no reason doesn't get you anywhere but disliked, alienated, and outcasted. it goes to show that respect and kindness go alot farther than rudeness and beligerence. i saw this happen last night, with frenzy and saruak. and i'm very happy to have seen saruak turn away from rudeness and unkindness, and actually be a nice guy, and accept advice, and listen, and learn from a great guy like chad.
