long time no quake

Hey everyone, I just recently started playing a bit since I found my CD with quake on it and have had a bit of free time. My name is Paul and I used to go by the name of Enemy X back in the day with the clan HDz.

I started Quaking in '96 and mingled around DM/CTF servers until eventually playing 3wave CTF primarily. I was largely introduced to 3wave by playing with Dragan and Bean, who founded HDz, and Nuke/Survivor of their clan who I believe was called "Soul" - which merged with HDz later. I played with clan GDI and RuM for a little while and eventually joined HDz and continued there.

It's really great there is still a community out there and I've seen a couple of familiar names while browsing these forums. I'm a network security engineer / programmer but have been able to get on a few of the servers (mostly rune quake) to play a bit, even though I'm rusty as all hell. Any old 3wave CTFers still around? I'd love to play some matches sometime. Cheers.

we still CTF .. but it depends on when Crackdog is around because for some reason.. ctf seems to center around his appearance

Yeah, play 3wave at night on the servers r00k suggested at around 11pm/12am CST. I've tried a couple nights to get games going but no one seems to come around besides r00k and hag when I do

Well thanks for the props. I'm glad to be back playing with you all. Pantera - Anyone else around from RuM? I think I've seen Rambo around but thats about it. I know Crimsongun/Amir play world of warcraft now but not sure about the rest.

Rambo is about the only rum you'll see playing anymore. Haven't seen another rum online in years.
